Restorative Flow Series

Restorative Flow classes are a series of yoga sessions designed to promote relaxation, recovery, and rejuvenation. These classes typically start with a gentle Vinyasa flow to calm the body and mind. The second half of each class focuses on specific techniques.

Myofascial Release

Class begins with a gentle all levels Vinyasa flow designed to quiet the body and focus the mind after a busy week. The second half of class will utilize studio provided foam rollers and massage balls to massage and stimulate the myofascial system. This form of self-massage will be instructor lead to provide a full body activation intended to target many of the pressure points in our bodies.

Yin

Class begins with a gentle all levels Vinyasa flow designed to quiet the body and focus the mind after a busy week. The second half of class will focus on holding Yin poses for about 5 minutes per pose to activate the supportive tendons, ligaments, and connective tissues. This is a great way to counter and support the Yang movements in our daily lives and a chance to slow down. Students should expect a quieter practice.

Yoga Nidra

Class begins with a gentle all levels Vinyasa flow deigned to quiet the body and focus the mind after a busy week. the second half of class will focus on the ancient meditative practice of Yoga Nidra while in Savasana pose. This instructor guided mediation uses strong visualization cues to tap into the first few layers of the kosha system. A thirty-minute Nidra session is equivalent to 3-4 hour of REM sleep allowing a rejuvenation and restoring of bodily tissues while instilling a feeling of deep relaxation.

Recovery: Roll to Release

This 75 minute class utilizes practices of yin yoga and myofascial massage by using tennis/yoga balls, breath, and relaxation to open tissues, release tension, and shift energy.
